Debra On the Issues

Working on your behalf in the Ward and at City Hall

Vision & Mission

Debra on the issues that matter to our community

The 50th Ward is my home. I raised my family here. My parents live here, and my friends are all just a quick walk from my front door. I care deeply about the welfare of this community, and I have dedicated myself towards improving it since you elected me Alderman in 2011. I commit to keep on fighting for the future of this neighborhood. We will make our community a safe place to live, with easy access to city services, and a friendly face in City Hall. If we work together, the 50th Ward will continue to be the greatest neighborhood in Chicago and the envy of the rest of the city.

Keeping the 50th Ward safe

We are all neighbors, and we all benefit from a safe community. I work closely with the police to make sure they have all the resources they need to keep the 50th Ward a safe place to live, work, and raise a family.

Communication & Transparency

I have an open-door policy and am never more than a phone call away from helping 50th Ward residents with all of their City Service needs. I work for you - the 50th Ward public - and encourage open dialogue and communication. Thousands of local residents receive my weekly newsletter and follow me on social media. Your input and ideas help me keep the 50th Ward great!

Serving the public

My truest passion is helping my neighbors. I have had the privilege to help thousands of you access vital city services during my time as Alderman. I feel deeply humbled by my role in giving back to the community that has given me so much.
