Cutting through the red tape

Debra uses all the resources available to address your city service issues promptly and effectively, as well as improve the infrastructure in our neighborhood. Since being elected, she has helped fulfill thousands of service requests, ranging from graffiti removal to tree trimming to pothole repair. She is available every day to help residents cut through the red tape and get their requests for city services taken care of without any hassle. Debra is also committed to improving the infrastructure of the 50th Ward. She has resurfaced almost every street in the neighborhood and has installed new, pedestrian-friendly street lights on many blocks.

Debra believes that the city is here to serve you. She is available every day to cut through the red tape and help 50th Ward residents access the city services they need. Every year, her office helps fulfill thousands of requests, from tree trimming to sewer cleaning to rodent baiting. No problem is too small.
The City can only go so far in serving our neighborhood. Debra works with community members and volunteers to make a tangible difference in the 50th Ward. Together, we have cleaned up the parks, distributed food and COVID supplies, collected donations for those in need, and more.
The 50th Ward is a one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the City of Chicago, but we often come together as a community. Debra holds several popular community events every year, including the well-attended Movie in the Park at Chippewa, 50th Ward Back to School Fair, annual job fair, flu shot clinic, and more.
